Job Title: Associate Creative Director

Position Summary:
The Associate Creative Director (ACD) is responsible for delivering award winning customer centric creative, media and technology across 250K – 1 Million in revenue. The Associate Creative Director is accountable learning and mastering the ability to manage and direct digital creative work and starting to mentor Copywriters, Information Architects, and Art Directors from concept development through production insuring the team delivers against the Creative Assignment Brief. He/she will inspire and motivate creative teams with the client team Director, and will be responsible for developing creative work of the highest caliber. The ACD will assist in managing the assigned creative team (art, copy and User Experience) through project planning and staffing estimation, brief development and the actual day to day of delivering against the brief. ACD reports to the Managing Director.
ACD Responsibilities will include:
- Translating client goals and objectives into innovative, effective clear design and messaging strategies for our agency's clients
- Responsible for creating and managing a team to produce insightful, innovative, on-brand, on-strategy digital creative.
- Responsible for supporting and teaching the creative staff assigned to the team through the creative process
- Insures the creative process through forethought and planning: ie. brings other disciplines along, owns and manages schedule partnering with the producer, makes sure the team and management team can see the process from kick off to delivery, contributes to the brief
- Contributes to career path direction and development guidance for creative staff as appropriate
- Provides ongoing feedback and reviews all work to insure flawless execution "under their watch" prior to releasing to client team Director and client.
- Participates in hiring, assists in staff reviews, and may recommend promotions/salary adjustments based on structured performance assessments.
- Partners with the overall staff, portfolio, processes and team culture for Pixel.
- Developing and delivering client and internal presentations, explaining and supporting strategy plans
- Concepting/producing assets unique to advertising campaigns insuring proprietary creative
- Hands-on production of interactive ads/site, as needed
Required Experience and Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills to provide clear creative direction and inspire creative team members, as well as effective client management skills. Along with robust interpersonal and presentation skills, he/she should be able to manage multiple projects with regards to budget, work-flow/web-development, and resources from start to finish. The ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment is a must. Management experience is also required.
Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Freehand, and experience in Flash development and design a must. Knowledge of web design and development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) will add to a well-rounded candidate.
The ACD position requires a bachelor’s degree, with emphasis in advertising, art direction or copywriting. He/she should have at least 7 or more years of professional creative/production experience in an advertising or new media agency setting.
